Using Chia seeds is easy. Add 1 part Chia to 9 parts water, whisk with a fork and allow to soak about 10-20 minutes or until water is absorbed- resulting in Chia gel. It can then be flavored and eaten or blended into smoothies. Add 1 to 2 tsp. of gel to your ice cream, jams, hot or cold cereals, nut butters, tartar sauce, marinades, salad dressing and mayonnaise. If refrigerated, the chia gel will remain fresh for about 2 weeks.
